Cockernonnie is a very old Scottish women’s hairstyle where the entire hair will be collected up to create a similar style of the modern chignon. This hairstyle is also known as cock-up which can be achieved by pinning the entire hair into a knot at the nape of your neck. This type of hairstyle can be used only when you are going for any special event such as weddings and formal dances. This hairstyle is also very elegant way to style the hair as it can make any face look good. You can also make the style look more beautiful by using jewels, flowers and hair sticks.
To create this hairstyle, first collect the hair to create a ponytail by parting the hair at the center of your head. Then twist the hair in the ponytail to divide it into two sections. Wrap them around each other in a spiral and secure the braided ponytail using a second coated hairband. Coiling the twisted ponytail around the base of your ponytail and pin it at the back of your head. Continue to coil the hair around the outside of the first coiled circle and pin it in place. Finally tuck the end of the ponytail under the chignon and apply a little amount of gel to the ends of the hair. At last mist all over the hair with a styling spray or add a flower on the hair to end the styling.
